Getting Started with Cabcode

Welcome to Cabcode! This guide will walk you through designing your first cabinet and generating CNC-ready drilling files.

What is Cabcode?

Cabcode is a web-based cabinet design tool that generates CNC drilling files for panel processing machines. Whether you're building a single cabinet or an entire kitchen, Cabcode handles the complex calculations for:

• Panel dimensions and cutting lists
• Drilling positions for hinges, shelf pins, and connectors
• Drawer runner machining
• Assembly hardware (Rafix, Clamex, Cabineo)

Quick Start: Your First Cabinet

Step 1: Browse Cabinet Designs

Start by visiting the Cabinet Designs page. Here you'll find templates for:

• Base cabinets - Kitchen base units with doors, drawers, or open fronts
• Wall cabinets - Upper cabinets with various door configurations
• Tall cabinets - Larder units, pantries, and wardrobes
• Drawer packs - Multi-drawer units with various configurations

Use the category filters to narrow down your search, or use the search bar to find specific designs.

Step 2: Customise Your Cabinet

Click on any cabinet design to open the customisation page. Here you can:

1. Set dimensions - Enter the height, width, and depth for your cabinet
2. Choose materials - Specify carcass and front materials with thicknesses
3. Select fixings - Choose between Rafix, Clamex, or Cabineo assembly systems
4. Add features - Include doors, drawers, shelves, and other options

The 3D preview updates in real-time as you make changes.

Step 3: Review the Cutting List

Once you're happy with your design, scroll down to see:

• Cutting list - All panels with dimensions and edging requirements
• Hardware list - Hinges, runners, connectors, and fixings needed
• Drilling preview - Visual representation of each panel's machining

Step 4: Add to Order

Click "Add to Order" to save your cabinet. You can design multiple cabinets and add them all to a single order.

Step 5: Download Drilling Files

Visit the Order page to:

1. Review all cabinets in your order
2. Enter your details
3. Download CNC drilling files for your machine

Designing a Complete Kitchen

For larger projects, use the Space Parametric Designer. This powerful tool lets you:

• Design entire room layouts
• Create runs of cabinets that fit together
• Automatically handle corner units and fillers
• Generate all drilling files in one go

Understanding Drawer Configuration

When adding drawers to a cabinet, you can configure:

• Drawer box system - Choose from Blum Movento, Legrabox, Tandembox, or Hafele Matrix
• Height distribution - Set drawer heights as percentages or use Blum height codes (N, M, K, C, D, F)
• Clearances - Adjust gaps between drawer fronts
• Space above - Control the gap between drawer box and drawer front

Supported CNC Machines

Cabcode generates files compatible with:

• Homag Weeke BHX series
• Felder Creator 950
• Other machines supporting standard drilling formats
